In situ organic biosignature detection techniques for space applications

چکیده
The search for life in Solar System bodies such as Mars and Ocean Worlds (e.g., Europa Enceladus) is an ongoing high-priority endeavor space science, even ∼ five decades after the first detection mission at performed by twin Viking landers. However, situ of biosignatures remains highly challenging, both scientifically technically. New instruments are being developed detecting extinct or extant on due to new technology fabrication techniques. These becoming increasingly capable identifying organic that indicative will play a pivotal role evidence through robotic lander missions. This review article gives overview techniques used missions (gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy), further developments these techniques, ion mobility spectrometry. In addition, current next-generation biosignature reviewed; include capillary electrophoresis, liquid biosensors (primarily immunoassays), nanopore sensing; whereas microscopy, biological assays, isotope analysis beyond scope this paper not covered.

In situ trap parameter studies in CCDs for space applications
Charge-Coupled Devices are the detector of choice for the focal planes of many optical and X-ray space telescopes. In recent years, EM-CCDs, SCDs and CMOS sensors have been used, or baselined, for missions in which the detection of X-ray and visible photons are key to the science goals of the mission. When placed in orbit, silicon-based detectors will suffer radiation damage as a consequence of...

15 صفحه اولOrganic Haze as a Biosignature in Anoxic Earth-like Atmospheres
Early Earth may have hosted a biologically mediated global organic haze during the Archean eon (3.8-2.5 billion years ago). This haze would have significantly impacted multiple aspects of our planet, including its potential for habitability and its spectral appearance. Here, we model worlds with Archean-like levels of carbon dioxide orbiting the ancient Sun and an M4V dwarf (GJ 876) and show th...
متن کاملNew techniques in nuclear medicine for tumor detection [Persian]
Widespread studies on tumor diagnosis has led to the development of techniques with greater sensitivity and improved specificity for detection of occult and small subclinical tumors. Tumor imaging by radiolabeling of tumor-specific antibodies (Immunoscintigraphy) or tissue specific biochemical agents (Receptor imaging) and especially physiologic imaging with positron emitters (PET), have ...
متن کاملComparison of in vitro and in situ techniques for estimating protein degradability of selected feedstuffs
The objective of this study was to estimate the protein degradability parameters of 6 common ruminant feedstuff using the nylon bags (in situ) and the innovative in vitro method-the DaisyII incubator. Significant differences were observed between the in situ and in vitro methods in estimation of the rapidly soluble (a) fraction (Pin vitro method were highly correlated with the estimated values ...
